Who would have thought that one day we could install 4 tracks on a vehicle in 15 minutes, while keeping the tires on and without any modifications of this vehicle. Well, after several years of research and development we are proud to present you the Track N Go system: "The first ever wheel driven track system", an innovation that will make it much easier to use tracks on your vehicles.

(Québec) L'entreprise AD Boivin, de Lévis, vient de mettre en marché un système permettant à la plupart des camionnettes de se transformer en véhicule tout terrain et de se promener aisément dans la neige épaisse ou sur la glace. Les clients potentiels sont les grandes industries et les agences publiques de transport, qui se montrent déjà très intéressées.

«L'engouement est au-delà de ce que nous pensions au départ», écrit Mike Fontaine, qui travaille au design chez AD Boivin, lors d'un échange de courriels. Le Track N Go est composé de quatre chenilles, qui s'installent en 15 minutes environ sur la plupart des camionnettes, sans avoir à enlever les roues. Le véhicule peut ensuite circuler à une vitesse maximale de 60 km/h.Une vidéo montrant ces chenilles en action a cumulé plus de deux millions de visionnements sur YouTube. Et le téléphone ne dérougit pas au bureau lévisien, fondé en 1995 et spécialisé dans la motoneige. Pour le moment, AD Boivin a vendu 15 systèmes Track N Go au coût de 25 000 $ chacun, et elle prévoit en écouler près d'une centaine en 2014 à travers le monde.

Au Québec, Cartier Éolienne de Matane utilise le Track N Go pour faire l'entretien de son parc éolien. Dans l'Ouest canadien et en Alaska, des compagnies minières et pétrolières s'en servent lorsque les routes font défaut. Au Wisconsin, l'agence de transport du comté de Dane a acheté un système Track N Go pour d'éventuelles opérations de sauvetage, lorsque les conditions des routes sont exécrables. Deux systèmes sont aussi à l'essai en France et en Russie.

ADBoivin a même des demandes de pays du Moyen-Orient, comme l'Arabie saoudite, qui aimeraient utiliser les Track N Go dans le sable. Les tests sont concluants pour l'instant, alors il se pourrait que la compagnie se lance également dans ce marché. Mais avec prudence. Une entreprise qui a mis quatre ans à tester son produit dans la neige et le froid voudra s'assurer que tout fonctionne bien également dans des conditions climatiques totalement différentes.

DUNN COUNTY, N.D. - One law enforcement agency isn't letting winter weather slow them down.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Department recently bought two sets of Track-N-Go equipment for possible search and rescue situations. The gear is attached to the vehicle, as well as all the wheels. The rotation of the wheels engages the gears on the tracks so it can move over snow drifts.

"There was no other way of getting around Dunn County without them. The other deputies, all of our vehicles are four-wheel-drive, but even our four-wheel-drive vehicles were useless with this last storm," says Matthew Hegstad, Chief Deputy.

The Track-N-Go gear was paid for with money from an oil impact grant the department received.
